1. MCD ICE CREAM

I doubt McDonalds Malaysia earn most in burger segment. As you can see, sometimes McDonalds Malaysia rolled out a small McDonalds kiosk to sell only their ice-cream cone. In term of availability, price and product who could stand out ? I bet the first thing pop up in Malaysian mind when speaking of ice-cream is Vanilla Sundae Cone.

It always been a joyful feeling to see a hugely successful F&B business worldwide opening it outlet in Malaysia. Vice versa, it happy to acknowledge local F&B business are able to open outlet at oversea

These are the F&B restaurants where the local spent their weekend. Although there are lots of delicious F&B restaurants, these are my list of top 10 favorite F&B restaurants to go !

1. OLDTOWN



The brand "Oldtown" is not unfamiliar to Malaysian. In order to compete in market, mass expansion throughout nationwide most crowded and strategic places were launched. Signature food and drinks are Oldtown White coffee and Curry Mee.



2. CHATIME



The brand "Chatime" actually means something goes like this, "give me a break, drink tea" or, "It's time for tea". Anyways, Asian does not despise tea. Chatime pretty much dominating Malaysia's demand for milktea.

Huge success skyrocketed the Chatime ambitious move to open more outlets nationwide. Signature drink is pearl milk tea with red bean ! You could order one cup to try at RM6.5 - RM8.5



3. BLACKBALL




A popular dessert brand in Malaysia currently embarking expansion. Brought to you as far as Taiwan. Those who missed Taiwan dessert, this is a great place to satisfy your taste bud.



4. CHICKEN RICE SHOP





Probably the only way to beat too much fried chicken is to have a feast on steam chicken. Rumor has it that steam chicken is much healthier ! definitely should try the Pai tee.



5. PIZZA HUT






Malaysian does not turn their back at Pizza ! Cheese, pineapple, chicken reminds me of Hawaii Chicken Pizza !! Pizza Hut is one of the most popular brand before KFC and McDonalds. I will rank Pizza Hut 3rd in orderly manner.



6. SUBWAY




The tempting submarine sandwiches were no boundary in seducing our taste bud. The taste is always lingering at our mouth ! It get so addictive and so much cheaper !




7. BOOST JUICE BARS






Instead of getting a coffee, take a cup of fruits blended drink ! Take a fruit a day, keep doctor away ! Imagine all the healthy food blended together added with special flavor for your day !! For ordinary Malaysian, most of us don really know how to blend the right fruits !

After drinking Boost's juice, immediately recovered from a light flu !




8. SUSHI ZANMAI





Malaysian are started to jump into frenzy of Japanese food. The brand "Sushi Zanmai" is getting popular due to its daring expansion across Malaysia. The vast opportunity is there to capture Malaysia market for Japanese food. ! Malaysia never shy away from fish such as Salmon and Eel !


9. DOMINO




Domino reigns heavily at West Malaysia competing with Pizza Hut. The presence od Domino at East Malaysia is marginal.

Chinese New Year is HOLIDAY !!

1. PAY A VISIT TO SHOPPING MALL

Sunway Carnival Mall

Each shopping mall in Malaysia offers spectacular seasonal decoration especially during all-time favorite Chinese New Year. Sunway Carnival Mall might have spent thousands in order to signify the coming of Lunar new year festival. There is no need to pay to take a picture with your friends !

Branches of man-made Cherry blossom were one of the attraction where passerby could write and tag wishes cards onto the branch. Most popular wishes are health, relationship and job !

2.  LION DANCE


It was not Chinese New year without lion dance. Lion dance is a hired performance done with or without the rising platform. However, the lion dance is must to be performed with loud instruments. One will see the lion dance performers making an art out of mandarin orange or carrying a 4-words scroll to gift to the one who funded the performance.


3. CHINESE NEW YEAR 2016 MOVIES



Well known director Stephen Chow's the "mermaid" is one of the selected few films to debut during the highly coveted first week of the Chinese New Year . The film recorded as highest opening ticket sales in a week in many countries including Malaysia.


4. PURCHASE NEW CLOTHES




There is no way throughout the Chinese New Year week wearing the traditional red Chinese costume. I suppose new clothes mean ward off previous year bad luck. It was really fun though !


5. DYE HAIR




There is no compulsory on this point. Everyone went to do some look adjustment in order to wow the crowd of relative. However, dying hair is not very accepted by any parents thinking as it would probably give a bad impression.



6. NIGHT CLUB


Cocktail tables full of booze. Singing and dancing with band and DJ. A night before Chinese new year eve 2016 ! The lightning effect is quite cool. It was a little bit intense knowing that the entrance fee was FREE


7. TEMPLE



Crowded temple with overwhelming devotees performing burnt offerings.


8.  FAMILY-FRIENDLY LOCALLY HELD PERFORMANCE



Night singing performance !


9. POKER OR MAHJONG



Everyone love gambling during this time. Only on this festival occasion, The full of dust poker cards and discolored mahjong were taken out from store shelves. Most of them were not addicted to poker or mahjong gambling. After the festival, the mahjong and poker will see no light again until next CNY.


The perception is winning and losing is a matter of luck.



10. CHINESE RITUAL BEFORE MEAL

A god blessed meal

An offering before a meal. The food then will be properly placed at dining table.

Seoul Garden Restaurant is expanding its reach nationwide. Managed by Zingrill Holdings based in Singapore.

Some attractive points to ponder about Seoul Garden restaurant :

- Buffet style with variety of drinks
- Halal
- "Do Serve Beef"
- no alcohol
 - Variety of ice-cream
- There are Chicken Bulgogi and Chicken Kim Chi
- Various dressing notably, Spicy Korean Chili 
- Seafood such as prawn, squid, clam and many more
- Cendol
- 5 Types of soup




It was a pretty serene environment. Food was all well prepared no single out-of-stock and empty scheme by the restaurant. Get inside became the only two customers unfortunately there were nothing for early bird !

Told the cashier we are going to have buffet here, she was happy to see both of us and pretty straightforward give us a receipt as I had paid her in advance.  There was a friendly looking staff following us to our favorite sitting spot. Pouring spicy Kim Chi Soup to the bowl and started the grill
Clean and neat walking freely with so many Korean food choices.



There were vegetables and appetizer but, This is my kind of appetizer. Golden Crispy roll, fries, fried rice.


Look closely, I greedily took yummy chicken bulgogi, chicken kimchi, chicken bbq. There were some vegetable and corn inside the kimchi soup.


Yummy Kim Chi soup Noodle. Excellent taste !


Was not in the mood eating seafood. The best part all seafood were fresh !


Not a big fan of seafood, grilled the prawn instead.

It might be the biggest "Halal" "Buffet" Korean Restaurants in Malaysia with so many outlets nationwide.

Craving other than Prosperity Burger or feeling Prosperity burger too small portion for your appetite?

Introducing Chicken Rice Shop's Chinese new year menu,  It highly recommended due to its variety of delicious snacks especially the "Nyonya Pai Tee"and "The Pak Choy" with dark soy sauce and last but not least delicious mouth-watering Hainanese style Chicken with special kind of dressing.

The drink was exclude from the package though ! The cost is RM22 per person.

Men do wash their face occasionally.

There is a sudden urge to maintain facial skin. It so useful for multiple occasion, attending wedding, party, date, outing with friends. There must be one time your girlfriend called you right after a workout or working overtime for a decent dinner, this is where face wash is critically needed. Imagine the sweat and smell on the face.

Face wash is a quick solution for any lazy men who are rushing for a meet up.  A compatible face wash for one that understands skin condition. There are face wash caters for oily face, acne, and even whitening.

Currently using anti-acne because main priority is to eliminate any available easily seen red dots / pimples. Besides, the above photo was taken after using Gatsby Anti-acne face wash. Well, skin does look good because phone camera fix it with beauty mode.

Will Malaysia follow US banning plastic microbeads products selling in the market

Eye-catching brand "Gatsby" definitely men's ideal face wash. Imagine to have Mr Zul Arifin facial skin after using it.  As if you never discover this article or the story about microbeads, you never know the adverse effect of these tiny particles. It should have been just a normal face wash with weird-looking tiny colorful beads. I still remember purchasing it with the price range between RM15 - RM20.



Pretty satisfy with the Gatsby Anti Acne and going to use even though there is a complication about it. A threat to the environment.  It seem like everyone care about a clean acne, oily-free, face and ignoring the fact that the plastic microbeads

Not that much but it there !

While using it, it was surprising enough there were loads of plastic microbeads. Even more shocking, found out that US has passed a law banning microbeads containing products in coming years. The objective is to eliminate pollution in US water systems.

As if US is concerning about their water systems being polluted by these tiny particles, the question is how could advanced country such as United States still could not invent a perfect water systems filters these tiny particles ?

Probably there is an another proper question to ask, When will Malaysia starts set a halt in products containing plastic microbeads washed down to drain causing so much mayhem due to its resistant on decompose.
