Well-lit Webe Lounge at Queenbay Mall, Penang

Check out Webe Lounge design and catch up with their latest mobile plans. There is no single color closely associate with Webe as if you are curious. One thing that surprise me most is the staff took me to a table for a quick inquiry when I said, " I come to take my Webe sim card ".

He calmly noted my intention. The entire conversation experience was described to be like when I was taking my school result with my parent by my side. It was totally formal !

I look around amazed with a strict officer. There were few smartphones on display and a few P1 devices here and there.

One thing I remember the most about webe except the words P1 and TM is surely the word "Community". Shortly afterwards, I came to this ticket machine and get my ticket. Something we always do when we were in hospital or bank.

As soon as I got my ticket. In a split seconds, my number was shown on the screen with the usual sound because there were only me left.

Retrieving Webe Sim card is required to have your national identification card and of course your fingerprint to access it. The process is easy of course one do not need to fill up any form but it got me into thinking that " Am I in the middle of withdrawing my money " ?

Then, they got all access into my not-so-fairy-good middle school result and the things I have done in the past. ( God knows what are the information in my ID card )  , I am convinced he may have my good looking photo in their computer now.

The friendly associate handed my Webe sim card after I pass all the necessary requirements.

What exactly is Webe ? It is a mobile Internet company in Malaysia. It open to public usage on September 30, 2016. There are things to know before buying Webe Internet service.



1. Enhance Telecommunication Business
Mobile Internet business in Malaysia is tremendously huge. One may think that Celcom is national mobile carrier due to it wide coverage nationwide, in fact, the real Internet player is Telekom Malaysia, the provider of Internet connectivity to every homeuser.

 It is safe to say Celcom, Digi and Maxis are three large mobile Internet providers in Malaysia before the Webe company step in the industry.



2. TM's master plan


Telekom Malaysia has always been dominating in home user Internet business. Streamyx and Unifi proved to be more stable landline Internet connection. It is the only Internet provider in Malaysia allows user enjoy unlimited data access.

It is not a secret that the stagnant of computer sales has dampen sales of TM service. The rise of smartphone has least and no growth to the TM market share.

It is only wise to have criteria to use Webe service. If everyone start to use Webe as sole Internet service, there will be a backfire to TM landline Internet service. To charge as much as RM6 for 2 hours, less people are going to use tethering on Webe mobile Internet access to the computer.

Webe Internet connection is " Personal " as oppose to traditionally free offered by most of the mobile Internet company in Malaysia.

Would you sacrifice the usage of free tethering as an exchange to unlimited mobile Internet access ? if your answer is yes, then, webe is certainly for you.



8. Webe Marketing
It has been a joyful ride with Webe company rewarding users with cash rewards and some other prizes. It is all over the news and it seem like a too-good-to-be-true marketing scheme to attract users to test their product.

First Webe launched an app allowing Malaysian to get to know more about Webe. Then, it started to reward people with an incredible prizes. Luckily, those who won the prizes only needed to fill in personal information rather than paying a small fee for being a member.

I do not know you but I heard some crazy news that every Webe employees get a new high-end smartphones out of nowhere. Even before the launching of Webe service, On free time, Webe employees will drive to your neighborhood in a small van as if it deemed a beautiful day, therefore, they will reward you with cash rewards up to RM300 or a high-end smartphone such as Galaxy S6. All you need to do is participate and spin the wheel while they will capture your photo of you winning a prize and upload it on their official Webe Facebook page.

9. The Next Big Thing

It solves the mystery whether mobile Internet data can be unlimited likened to a landline Internet connection. There has been lots of rumor in the past that user could subscribe to an unlimited mobile data with merely RM30 monthly fee with a small tweak. The tweak however, it was not much a convention business practice as it will be using third-party such as VPN.

Imagine one can surf Youtube without the worry of data cap and sudden increase of hidden fee charged on gullible mobile end-user. It is all now a horrible past, Webe is the new savior for the miserable mobile Internet experience.



10. My Webe Experience
To be frank, author have bought the Webe service and yet to try it out. Perhaps I could give more tips after testing it for 3 months.

I have play the Pokemon Go since it first launching

1. The Challenge

Achieve this accomplishment with Pokemon Go

Get out of your sofa because it just an illusion of comfort. We are making a history, we are leaving a mark. Let catch all the pokemon !

It does not matter how much Pokemon you have catch. It is a personal time you and Pokemon Go. Take your time, enjoy the great game.

One day in the near future, you will thank Pokemon Go for it encourages spending time walking around for your health.

In my experience, I have endured 2 hours of walking with Pokemon Go. The distance recorded was 2 to 3 Kilometers. That is something I cant achieve without Pokemon Go. It is harder than you think, 2 to 3 kilometers is merely less than 5,000 steps. Still, it better than nothing.

2. The Surprise

When an extremely rare pokemon appears, the amount of excitement is unimaginable. Dragonite is the last pokemon to have in current Pokedex.


Egg hatching is one of the motivator for distance walking ! One can get some rare pokemon in 10 KM eggs.

3. Childhood Dream

I think you guys share the same dream as me to be the Pokemon master. This dream however, faded through times. In my time with Pokemon, I was 8 years old and thought the other part of the world lies a Pokemon island where Pokemon did exist there. Well, that happened after finish watching some episodes of Pokemon in my CD player. The pirated CD was like RM12.90 with 3 Pokemon episodes in one CD.

That was not just it, when I was much younger, fighting my sibling over a Gameboy device with Pokemon game in it.

4. The Achievement

The game is not about catching the strongest Pokemon, it is about catching all the Pokemon appears on your screen. Even the strongest Pokemon will just contribute 100 experience points to your level. The tips is to catch all Pidgey, Ratata, Weedie and Caterpie as these gives you 500 exp points for every evolution made.

5. Social / Peer Pressure

Everytime I turned on the Facebook or having a lunch at one of the restaurant, I got "Pokemon" whispering everywhere. I do not have enough reason not to join the Pokemon Go craze. It just too much to bear everyone is on their phone with Pokemon Go in it.

6. Fight for your claim

When you have all the necessary skills, it time to hit the GYM. In Pokemon Go , the GYM never give out any badges so do not go all-out screaming. It fairy easy to conquer as long as potions and revives are enough to replenish.

I am team instinct and I am not afraid to admit although we are few, we still win anyone with enough potions and revives. So much relieving that potions and revives do not discriminate.

To be honest, Pyro is not even my strongest Pokemon. It is wise only use strongest Pokemon to attack and not defend because everyone get the chance to win the GYM.

7. Place of Interest

Every Pokestops and GYM means something special. The Pokemon is just another pulling factor or a beautiful cover to be attractive to the content. The game is created to encourage people to explore the world. It is a game to get your boots dirty and physically heathlier.

8. The Excitement

It's hard to contain the excitement of so many people shares a common goal to capture a single rare Pokemon.


9. The Disappointment / Anxiety

The game first launched on July 2016. The overwhelm feeling that the company behind Pokemon Go decided to launch it region by region excluding where you live. As if  I was like born to a wrong place. "When the game going to be released in Malaysia" ?

It still clear how much anxiety I got during this period of depression. To the extend that, I would always check Play Store when the game can be downloaded to my phone and frequently visit the Pokemon Go Official Facebook page for their newest announcement.

I never condone myself downloading the apk file for my android phone. It was so insecure !

Before the release, the only thing to do is observe the Facebook Trending and Popular post overloaded with Pokemon Go contents. The feeling of described as "out of touch" or "disconnected with the world" (This can't be serious)





The wait is over, I have found Dragonite on the eve of Hari Merdeka to be exact 30/8/2016. It still crystal clear that the countdown was over and a Dragonite appeared. But, the image explains thoroughly. The point is I did not bring home Dragonite with me that night. What a night !

The lesson learnt that do not try to catch Dragonite using curve ball, you will never reach it !

10. The Updates

It was a butterfly farm. Now, it is literally a theme park.

On the day of visit, there was a sight of middle east tourists enjoying their trip to Entopia. Good place for family and group,


I will be joining them for a lifetime adventure offered by Entopia. ( The butterfly theme park). One can learn nearly everything about butterfly and other insects too. Not from text book, from watching closely with both of your eyes.


Keep the brochure and wear the bracelet tag for later !



It takes time to visit all of it. There was an underground learning facility and a western concept restaurant. Handful of toilets and baby changing room. There is no turning back as you might lost on the way.

1. The little one shapes our land and fertilize the soil.

They are well fed !.   Give them a round of applause for what they did to our soil. We would not have so many palm trees without them. Their continuous effort is appreciated.

2. Plants and Flowers

For your information, a native flower of Madagascar. Flame of the forest is one of the useful plants. To be able to see it closely, surely no regret in life.


I am not a flower expert. This look like the flame of the forest from my view.

3. Amazing Butterflies

The smell of rotten fruit attracts butterfly !


Spot some real butterfly of this chart. Particularly the Chocolate Glass Yellow or Eurema Sari.

4. The Underground

Built a tunnel with an escalator. It does feel like underground because of the pressure. Well, the air condition did a pretty good job maintaining our body temperature to a comfort level. Besides, You stilll have a long way till the end.


You are required to crawl to be fit here. Some amazing things to discover.

5. Scientific Discovery

More time were spent here reading all these butterfly myth collected from all around the world. It just throw everything for you to digest. Everything from fictional and real scientific stuff. The kids must be confuse, well for adult like me, it already confusing. Still, it pretty outstanding !

The image above is a scientific discovery. Ant and caterpillar are friend as they have some common business. Caterpillar provides honey gland whereas, ant provide some protection.

6. The right place for family

A laboratory to learn on ant behavior. Ants exhibit some good practice such as hardworking. Have you bring your kids ? Your kids will be learning the wisdom and knowledge after the visit.
