International Coffee Day with Wonda

Robert's Google+

It good to learn today's international coffee day

The Star front page international coffee day with wonda

Guess where I have learn about the international coffee day, the first page of the star newspaper published on September 29, 2015 does a great job informing me this jaw-breaking information.

Always wonder what kind of surprising news every time I try to buy a newspaper. I guess that overwhelm feeling of wanted to know what is going on around.

If I have not bought today newspaper, I would not have learnt today's International Coffee Day. Awesome discovery just make anyone day better.

Admitting that there are not all newspaper pages I like to read but, it is enough if there are one page that worthy to read and this is it.

I spent about 20 minutes getting to know all these perks and decided to work it out. It smell adventure !

I have known Wonda coffee and tasted it. I did not boast it, You can check it out, blogged somewhere here is the link Wonda wonderful Coffee. At that time, I was really curious the taste of Arabika Coffee.

You and I would not believe it that Wonda Coffee advertisements on the star newspaper took three whole pages. The thing is that The star newspaper is smart enough to hide the third pages containing all the perk information. The first and second pages are all about wishing "International Coffee Day" and nothing else. It did not actually indicating there are huge freebies. Only the people who flip to the 13 pages get to know it.

Yeah !, the 3rd hidden pages of Wonda Coffee advertisement shown at 13 page. One has to read about all these promotions from RHB, Celcom.

I would consider it as a freebies if most of the 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia offering Wonda Coffee as low as RM1.00. I do not want to expose most of the perks because I am not that cheerful to share. But I try to compel it together, there are free TGV cinemas movie ticket, Tesco Buy 1 Free 1, Myteksi free wonda coffee treat (request via myteksi app), Mesra RM50,000 worth of fuel to be won, Domino's Pizza RM10 with any purchase of two cans of wonda coffee, RM1 buying from 7-Eleven.

It was not my priority to share all the perks, I just wanted to share the joy of International Coffee Day

7 Eleven Wonda Coffee promotion RM1

The promotion is going smoothly, That was a relieve indeed as if that would spoil my day if the promotion was not going so well.

Top 10 Coffee Drinks in Malaysia

Robert's Google+

Some of the Nescafe/Coffee beverage Malaysian usually drink due to it availability and price factor

I know what are you thinking, why there were no Starbucks or Coffee beans inside the list. The truth is we have been drinking Nestle Nescafe products thousand times before Starbucks and Coffee bean existed in Malaysia. When considering the price factor, we would know most Malaysian would pick Nestle as a household coffee product.

Starbucks and Coffee bean took most of the spotlight and ranked top in coffee list. There is no doubt about that. They have the coffee quality and better taste. However, it is a wrong perception that Starbucks and Coffee bean will dominate Malaysian market.

Any market including Malaysian coffee market is unpredictable. It includes every determinant factors such as price, status, marketing, brand, flavor and countless more factors. Make a decision wisely will you drink a cup of RM 16 Starbucks coffee in a day or spend it to buy 8 cans of Nestle Nescafe or one big pack of Nestle Nescafe with 30 small packets.

Will it be ridiculous to think that that a man bought a RM 16 Starbucks coffee drinking it in small quantity then put into refrigerator hoping to drink it next day ? It is not a bad idea but probably not a popular move because do you think it taste the same tomorrow ??

Shaheizy Sam is being ambassador for this brand. For those who do not know him you can see his face all over any Nescafe associated websites in Malaysia. He is quite a popular actor and singer. Have you heard his song " Bangun ". That is the best song for the year 2014 according to me. It really raise one spirit up if you hear it on morning. You should hear it sometime if you had a bad day or monday blues.

This is the best time for you to replenish Nestle Nescafe in your home because Nestle is being nice and generous giving out a small red cup with country in line with the ongoing football fever. I like England soccer squad despite that they had not qualified for quarter finals in FIFA World Cup 2014. Since the world cup have been won by Germany, I believe many would choose Germany imprinted Nescafe cup. You might need to find harder because you are not the only person finding it.

Coffee is your buddy in the morning that is a very true. It is not only cure sleepiness but it contains anti-oxidant. Yes, the substances in coffee contained anti-oxidant. You could see for yourself at the back of the package. At the back, it written that every cup you drink contained anti-oxidant. I believe most of you do not notice them.

It seem like RM13.00 for 30 sticks Nestle Nescafe is pretty reasonable. Just for your information, they had not raised the price tag due to giving out a free cup which we know some product they said it was free but price has been marked up.

Nescafe Malaysia never said whether this is limited edition but I assumed the stock is scarce. Do not waste any of your time now as soon as you finish reading this go and grab one. Do not be selfish share this out to your friends as well !!

A honest review on them the only thing need to be concern when drinking a cup of Nescafe will be the carbohydrate inside them. It has 15.2g carbohydrate higher than a raw burger. Well, it seem to have more advantages enough to cover the bad things away. It certainly light up your day with wide smile on your face. It a mood booster !!

Energize your day with one cup hot Alicafe today. Go to work carry a smile

Power root Alicafe 15 x 40g RM14.00

  • Product           : Alicafe White Coffee, Power Root
  • Calories          : 40g or one sachets = 189 KCAL for , 28g Carbohydrate, 1.5g Protein, 7.5g Fat
  • Net Weight     : 40g x 15 sachets
  • Status             : Halal , Made in Malaysia, ISO9001, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000:2005
  • Manufacturer : Power Root Manufacturing Sdn Bhd
  • Flavor            : White coffee
  • Value (2014) : RM 13.90 (Giant)
  • Imported by  : Nil
  • Website        : www.powerroot.com.my
  • Phone           : 07-386-6688
The above chart acted as reminder for you that one should maintain their weight and advised not to consume exceeding 2000 KCAL a day. A cup of Alicafe is about 200KCAL.

Besides Nestle Nescafe, Alicafe is preferable choice for everyday coffee in Malaysia. Most of you do not know that it is under the company Power Root. The company is so successful they decided to have it public listed to enable Malaysian invests some of their hard earned cash for a profitable return. The share is currently RM 2.39 per share on July 8, 2014.

The success of the company does reflect people trusted this company. It has to be clear this company are holding various beverage and one of them is Alicafe. Moreover, power root have been mass campaigning to the local. You must be familiar with their slogan "Anda boleh jadi Jutawan " . A rise and fall of the company very much depend on their marketing strategy.

It is true that Alicafe is made in Malaysia. However, the price tag said a different story. Look at the price tag of a Nestle Nescafe which is an international brand is relatively lower than the a pack of 15 sachets Alicafe. You could prove me wrong with that statement but I am not seeing a big difference in the price tag.

Sorry for the upside down image

Despite that, Alicafe sachets is much bigger in size. A 40g of white coffee powder inside. The normal Nestle Nescafe or Nestle Milo has a smaller size compared to Alicafe sachets. If you do the math right, you would know that Alicafe, Nestle's Nescafe and Nestle Milo have no big gap in thier price tag. Why would not Alicafe become much cheaper ??

My personal review on Alicafe is that it not that sweet even though there were 40g powder. It has a cream taste. It worth a try !!

If you do not like prepare yourself, there are readily available Alicafe in nearest local stores. Grab one of them today !!

Wonda wonderful coffee with Arabika beans in Malaysia

Robert's Google+

Arabika beans taste so good definitely a premium coffee for everyone.

  • Product : Wonda wonderful coffee
  • Calories : 146 Kcal for 240ml  , Sugar : 18.5g , Carbohydrate : 26.2g
  • Net Weight : 240ml
  • Status         : Halal
  • Manufacturer : Permanis Sdn Bhd
  • Flavor : Mocha
  • Value : RM2.30 (7-Eleven), RM1.90 (local market)

Coffee made of milk powder and cocoa powder. It so sweet and delicious. Arabika beans is not a plant originated from Arab countries. It can be found at Indonesia. First to brew using arabika beans was known as a Sweden guy.

For a coffee lover, do you feel curious about the taste of arabika coffee ?? I cant really differentiate Starbuck coffee beans and Wonda coffee but every coffee should be just fine. My tongue is not helping me how to do that the most easy measure to test quality would be the price. One cup of starbuck cost us RM15 or above. As for Wonda coffee, you could get at least 8 cans equivalent up to 2 litres. Quality or Quantity for you ??

I have seen people choose quality over quantity. For most of the people on the lower society tend to choose quantity rather than quality. Big is good ! Quality associated to smaller no good that would be a mentality I guess everyone is holding.

I have seen several times Wonda coffee advertisement on TV screen. It is one of the reason I bought this at 7-eleven. I was not thinking to buy any drinks but for surveying then I stumbled upon Wonda coffee so I decided to give it a try. It is not a little bit embarrassing not to buy anything and walk out.

In a meantime, Wonda coffee is owned by Asahi Group of Japan. In 2013, they launched heavy advertisements on Wonda coffee. For those who want to get a taste on it, it is solely available in 7- Eleven stores. I could not find it at anywhere !

Moreover, Wonda Coffee owner in Malaysia was quoted in an article that they were targeting 20% Malaysian coffee beverage market . It implying to compete with local brand such as Ipoh White Coffee and Alicafe brand. My opinion would be Wonda coffee tasted differently and unique compared to Ipoh White coffee and Alicafe .
