RM 2.10 Per Litre of RON95 shall be remembered

Robert's Google+

The last day of RON95 staying at the price RM2.10 per litre. We shall not forget October 1, 2014.

RON95 price per litre RM2.10

Just being dramatic because suddenly everyone is talking about the increasing price of fuel RON95 and Diesel. The announcement has been made by domestic trade ministry on evening today. The most obvious impact is there will be increasing traffic to the gas station later.

Will it be another hoax ? Well, it not likely to be because this is more than a rumor from a friend. There was an announcement already. As if you ask whether or not it could stay RM2.30 per litre, it will be difficult to say as looking at the previous event of increasing of cigarette price but next few days there was an announcement made to make the price drop.

I think the ministry trying to test the public. They want to make the public felt common about price increasing in any goods and services. So that in the future, the public is shock resistant to these kind of news. It pretty much shocking and could make anyone faint about the news increasing fuel price nationwide.

It did not come as unexpected, few days earlier, some people already spreading rumor there will be increasing of fuel price. Most people would not believe him about the increasing fuel price. However, the rumor turned to be a true alarm.

As I was writing, you only have 30 minutes more to fully pump fuel into your car at nearest gas station. RON95 RM2.10 per litre will be dearly missed. Goodbye see you next time hope to see you again in nearest future if somehow fuel price goes down magically.

Tomorrow which is October 2, 2014 is effective date for RM2.30 per litre of RON95 and RM2.20 for Diesel.

Police report has been lodged due to the a perceived remarks as racist and insulting faith of religion

This video has been uploaded few months ago but recently surfaced on social media due to a perceived inappropriate statements made. Local news portal has been writing for this topic but seem to have avoiding to show the actual and full length video. There is a 2 hours preacher speech attend by Muslim only.

In the video, preacher touched variety of topics before the alleged remarks. Tune in to 1 hour and 1 minute or 1:01:50. The alleged topic content are related to curry powder carrying the brands of Alagappa & Babas. He said that the big Hindu statue with the tongue rolled out were made to taste all the curry powders. It seem to be an illogical in religious texts and more like a joke on the appearance of the statue.

Throughout the video he had mentioned biggest and well known brands such as Pizza Hut, KFC, Pepsi, Colgate, Safi and curry powders. The purpose he mentioned big brand names is to strengthen up local brands opened up by local entrepreneurs. Besides, he preached about Muslim needed to be taught using right-handed instead of left-handed.

It is wise to mention that preacher taught many to wash the eggs before use for cooking, wear appropriate clothes to close certain parts body, no conventional loan, support Muslim brands.

Sabah Electricity Tariff is lower than West Malaysia

Robert's Google+

There are difference in SESB and TNB. SESB is Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd while TNB is Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

Sabah electricity vs TNB electricity tariff 2014

There were large usage of electricity during May 2014. There is a report said the highest in country history due to the current hot weather and dry spell. TNB general manager Omar Sidek said Malaysia recorded power usage of 16,583 MW on May 28.

Usage of electricity from 2 PM to 5 PM remained at peak every day. Experts warned everyone of us lowering the electricity consumption at that period. For example, regulating air conditioning between 23 and 25 Celsius, do ironing at night or washing machines and boil water during off peak periods. Besides, there were an advice on factories to operate machines at night rather than at day.

Our power management in Malaysia could be proved weak due to our electricity tariff policy is not strengthen enough. In South Korea, they have this seasoned tariff rate. On the peak period, the electricity tariff is slightly higher as for off peak period the electricity tariff is charged lower. Our electricity tariff is calculated based on fixed rate.

SESB electricity bill 2014
SESB Electricity Bill for 2014

In order to change factory operator mind, we need to polish our electricity tariff to help factory operator have a thought to operate at night rather than at day light. Despite that, studying the chart above Sabah electricity is cheaper than TNB the company controlling power supply at west Malaysia.

The chart above is leaned on home consumer rather than business. Business were using different tariff and will slightly lower favoring the business in Malaysia. Those who use more than 700 kwh as a consumer rather than business will be charge at RM 0.54 more or less. Not to mention there will be 1.6 % borne by consumer if their electricity tariff hit 301 KWH.

New Electricity tariff has been revised and imposed effective on January 1, 2014. Many people had experienced hike in their electricity bill. There were reasons behind all these. It is complicated to explain and understandable by most of us. So, we were being educated how to conserve electricity.

Moreover, it is a wrong perception that the new electricity tariff affected business in Malaysia the most. If you look at that the TNB or SESB website, there were two different tariff one is for business and the other one for business. In fact, home electricity tariff is more expensive than business operator. Businesses in Malaysia should not make excuses to increase their price without doing extensive research.

RTM 1, 2 and TVI secured the licensed right to broadcast 35 matches FIFA World Cup 2014

There are bad news and good news. The good news is most of TV without HyppTV or not associating with Unifi could watch FIFA World Cup 2014 at RTM 1 and RTM 2 without problem. First match Brazil vs Croatia LIVE on RTM1 on June 13, 2014. It was broadcast on RTM1 on 4AM - 6AM. I have watched the full match and so far the experience was great. An oversea English narrator will interpret the match situation instead of our local TV host do the job.

Still the good news, replay match between Brazil vs Croatia can be watched in RTM1. If you have not watch the LIVE match, you might grab this golden opportunity to watch it at RTM 1 channel. Replay match will kick start on 15.00 - 17.00 . Besides, every Friday and Saturday night 12.30 AM there will be a "Samba ria" show which people can win some attractive prizes.

Astro World Cup promotion with this, you are able to watch LIVE world cup semi-final and final match FIFA World cup 2014. Check this out at ASTRO on the go Sport

The bad news would be some Malaysian might not have the chance to watch FIFA World cup 2014 because they are subscriber of Unifi, HyppTV or using RTM mobile application. The licensed broadcast by RTM is limited to Television only. Let say you want to watch it on your smartphone using RTM app, it seem like impossible because RTM would block such access to the LIVE broadcast.

Fahrin Ahmad is the TV host interpreter for Brazil vs Croatia. He was with the RTM TV audiences even before the match begin 4AM till the match ended at 6AM. He had been entertained the RTM 1 audiences since 2AM with two guests discussing and analysis each team players. It appeared Fahrin Ahmad put a forecast Brazil vs Croatia match will end up with the score 3 - 1 before the match begin. It seem like his forecast hit the jackpot. Brazil won Croatia with the score 3 - 1.

Update (July 14) : Final match between Germany vs Argentina started at 1.15AM - 5AM. Only at RTM TV2

Malaysia and Neighboring Countries Electricity Prices Comparison

Comparison Electricity prices per kWh on other Asean countries. Malaysia electricity tariff 2014 against others

I do not know whether average Malaysian household felt the new electricity tariff pricing system effective January 2014. For myself, I kind of curious and felt a little bit. So, I set myself on a simple research that can be done by normal secondary students.

I just want an answer for my question in my mind. You and I know it not difficult we just have to do some search on Mr Google. Although Google is a powerful search engine, it did not mean once you type your questions you would like to find out, Mr Google may or may not give you a satisfy answers within few seconds. I have spend some time on this small research !

Based on the research, accuracy of the information is quite high. However, as the electricity price per kWh vary every year in various countries, it is very hard to find out respective country exact electricity price per kWh. There might be a prices difference mistakes for some countries but all the information are based on within 3 years. Despite that, the price gap is not really wide as if some country implemented new electricity tariff system.

It is up to you to fully or partially believe it or not on the chart above. I am quite convinced that. Take a look at Malaysia vs Singapore electricity price per kWh, you will see that Singapore 1 kWh is so high currently stood at RM 0.63. I believe there is tier system in Singapore electricity tariff.

I don think Singapore has this electricity tariff tier system. In Malaysia, First 200 kWh, it charge on RM 0.21 or USD $0.09

Brunei new tariff on 2011 is incredibly cheap. First 500 kWh is RM0.3 , which they pay for RM 15.00. 501 - 1500 kWh charge on RM 0.30 .  On 1501 kWh and above , they are charging RM0. 45 . I think they are still using 2011 electricity pricing tariff.

Which countries has the lowest consumer electricity per kWh ?

Brunei definitely stood the top at the ranking. RM0.03 for first 500kWh .

For orderly manner it would be Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippine, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore.

Which countries has the highest consumer electricity per kWh ?

Reverse the order it would be Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Philippine, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei.

All of the information provided here is just my personal opinion. I am just normal Malaysian just like other Malaysian in the street. Be moderate !

How much changes in Electricity Bill in Malaysia throughout the years? Especially in 2014.

Malaysia Electricity Bill 2008 and 2012
Electricity Bill in 2010 and 2012 . Source : Seniorsaloud, oongui.

Do you ever ask yourself what was the past electricity tariff ? Have you noticed news about sole power company in Malaysia Tenaga Nasional Berhad or any state power company, is asking people to pay more on your every month electricity bill ??

Surely most of you guy who are news goer must have noticed the electricity tariff increase news. Have you really carefully calculated ?

Recent news from our national power company that in 2014, we will need to bear another increasing in electricity bill. Yeah ! in the name of subsidy rationalization they have rendered the old tariff chart. Check back the news there is a new tariff chart effective in January 2014.

Take a look at the chart above, I have gathered 2008 and 2012 random electricity tariff. Thank to Seniorsaloud and oongui blog ( I took their pic without alerting them) . Let us do some research !

Shortly after the Malaysian 2008 election ended peacefully, our old electricity chart which 500 kWh around 0.28/kWh was RM 140.00 , for the next 100 kWh around 0.37/kWh and become RM37.00

Summary 2008 electricity chart for 600kWh

500kWh * 0.286/kWh = RM 143.00
100kWh * 0.37/kWh   = RM 37.00

Total : RM 180

Summary 2011 electricity chart for 600kWh

First 200kWh (1-200 kWh) per month : (200*21.80)/100 = RM 43.60
Next 100kWh (201 - 300 kWh) per month : (100*33.40)/100 = RM 33.40
Next 100kWh (301 - 400 kWh ) per month : (100*40.0)/100 = RM 40.00
Next 100kWh (401 - 500 kWh ) per month : (100*40.2)/100 = RM 40.20
Next 100kWh (501 - 600kWh ) per month : (100*41.6)/100 = RM 41.60

Total : RM 198.80

Summary 2014 Tariff chart for 600 kWh

First 200kWh (1-200 kWh) per month : (200*21.80)/100 = RM 43.60
Next 100kWh (201 - 300 kWh) per month : (100*33.40)/100 = RM 33.40
Next 300kWh (301 - 600 kWh)  per month : (100*51.60)/100 = RM 154.80

Total : RM 231.80

Question & Answers

How much increase between 2008 and 2011 in 600 kWh ?

RM198.80 - RM180 = RM 18.8 . Approximately 10% increase between 2008 and 2011.

How much increase between 2011 and 2014 in 600 kWh ?

RM 231.80 - RM 198.80 = RM 33.0. Approximately 16% increase between 2008 and 2011.

How much increase 2008 till 2014 ?

26 % increase for 600 kWh within 6 years.

National power company done good work in implementing this chart. The first 200kWh tariff have the lowest charge in Malaysian history compared to 2010 electricity tariff rate at RM 0.28 . At RM 0.218 per kWh, household in Malaysia could save up a lot .

If your electricity never go up to 90kWh per month you will be entitled governemnt subsidy of RM 20.00. That means household who use lesser than 90kWh no need to pay anything at all !

In my research, household with air-conditioner and heavy power consumption machinery, their bill is no escaping from 400 kWh - 700 kWh.

It is not only the job of a policemen combating crimes. We must not let them work alone when we have an opportunity in bringing crimes down  we still get it done. If you are keeping silence that mean you are indirectly being a friend to enemy of the state.

Some groups rejected Government proposed GST in Malaysia

Robert's Google+

From the early beginning before the handouts being implemented, the strategy of GST being implemented nationwide on April 2015 is conceived due to achieve progressive nation in 2020

Is this possible that it is part of government strategy in order to implement GST and getting trust of people, they rolled out handout for the poor? This is not the question of the day. The question would be whether government is sincere in helping lower and poor income bracket rakyat who made up the bottom of the society.

Handouts by government is increasingly main topic discussed especially older generation voters some even said it will bankrupt the nation, some said the government is generous in helping them. There are always mixed feeling and perception. The ideologies of elite and poorest remained in the big gap just like income of poor and high elite society.

We have seen government poured out millions and millions in handout to the specific group made up of the society. No doubt there were increasing in the amount of handout received by them from previous year. It is a good strategy before the implementation of GST. Will GST successfully implemented ?

GST is a good tax system and the implementation of GST in other country like Singapore is way before us. They are way ahead of us implemented GST in their own country. Singapore is top 10 richest and advanced country in the world. However, Malaysian are not educated about Good and Serviced Tax (GST).

May 1, 2014 GST protesters commented on the soon to be implemented Good and Service Tax system.

Have you watched the video, most of them are having a concept that GST will put burden on them. This also proven that government is still need more time in educating older generation and young generation what is GST all about !

Let take for an example of Obamacare, There were millions of Americans actually opposed this and that. In effort to educate them on Obamacare, they are now millions enrolled in this healthcare programme. Back to GST, exactly in 11 months GST will be implemented by the government. Will they able to understand what is GST all about ?

Illustration on GST of 6%

A group of people think that the current SST which is 16% will better than GST 6%.  Due to some reasons, GST will become 24% because in each chain will charge 6% more to other chain. Understand the first one.

There are so many version of GST and people are influenced by many version of GST. They got confused. They have the right to know every piece of information and Government have the role and responsibility to make their rakyat smarter.

We are willing to learn and this is our role ! In recent days, we have seen there are many business seminar catering the topic of GST. The part where they are asking a entry fee it will discourage public. We need a free seminar !
