Top 10 F&B Chain in Malaysia

It always been a joyful feeling to see a hugely successful F&B business worldwide opening it outlet in Malaysia. Vice versa, it happy to acknowledge local F&B business are able to open outlet at oversea




These are the F&B restaurants where the local spent their weekend. Although there are lots of delicious F&B restaurants, these are my list of top 10 favorite F&B restaurants to go !

1. OLDTOWN



The brand "Oldtown" is not unfamiliar to Malaysian. In order to compete in market, mass expansion throughout nationwide most crowded and strategic places were launched. Signature food and drinks are Oldtown White coffee and Curry Mee.



2. CHATIME



The brand "Chatime" actually means something goes like this, "give me a break, drink tea" or, "It's time for tea". Anyways, Asian does not despise tea. Chatime pretty much dominating Malaysia's demand for milktea.

Huge success skyrocketed the Chatime ambitious move to open more outlets nationwide. Signature drink is pearl milk tea with red bean ! You could order one cup to try at RM6.5 - RM8.5



3. BLACKBALL




A popular dessert brand in Malaysia currently embarking expansion. Brought to you as far as Taiwan. Those who missed Taiwan dessert, this is a great place to satisfy your taste bud.



4. CHICKEN RICE SHOP

Probably the only way to beat too much fried chicken is to have a feast on steam chicken. Rumor has it that steam chicken is much healthier ! definitely should try the Pai tee.



5. PIZZA HUT

Malaysian does not turn their back at Pizza ! Cheese, pineapple, chicken reminds me of Hawaii Chicken Pizza !! Pizza Hut is one of the most popular brand before KFC and McDonalds. I will rank Pizza Hut 3rd in orderly manner.

The tempting submarine sandwiches were no boundary in seducing our taste bud. The taste is always lingering at our mouth ! It get so addictive and so much cheaper !

Instead of getting a coffee, take a cup of fruits blended drink ! Take a fruit a day, keep doctor away ! Imagine all the healthy food blended together added with special flavor for your day !! For ordinary Malaysian, most of us don really know how to blend the right fruits !

Malaysian are started to jump into frenzy of Japanese food. The brand "Sushi Zanmai" is getting popular due to its daring expansion across Malaysia. The vast opportunity is there to capture Malaysia market for Japanese food. ! Malaysia never shy away from fish such as Salmon and Eel !


9. DOMINO




Domino reigns heavily at West Malaysia competing with Pizza Hut. The presence od Domino at East Malaysia is marginal.

Witness the world third largest hamburger restaurant "Wendy". One can get to dine at Sunway Pyramid. Wendy always promote it superior healthy hamburger !

Each shopping mall in Malaysia offers spectacular seasonal decoration especially during all-time favorite Chinese New Year. Sunway Carnival Mall might have spent thousands in order to signify the coming of Lunar new year festival. There is no need to pay to take a picture with your friends !

Branches of man-made Cherry blossom were one of the attraction where passerby could write and tag wishes cards onto the branch. Most popular wishes are health, relationship and job !

2.  LION DANCE


It was not Chinese New year without lion dance. Lion dance is a hired performance done with or without the rising platform. However, the lion dance is must to be performed with loud instruments. One will see the lion dance performers making an art out of mandarin orange or carrying a 4-words scroll to gift to the one who funded the performance.


3. CHINESE NEW YEAR 2016 MOVIES



Well known director Stephen Chow's the "mermaid" is one of the selected few films to debut during the highly coveted first week of the Chinese New Year . The film recorded as highest opening ticket sales in a week in many countries including Malaysia.


4. PURCHASE NEW CLOTHES

There is no way throughout the Chinese New Year week wearing the traditional red Chinese costume. I suppose new clothes mean ward off previous year bad luck. It was really fun though !


5. DYE HAIR




There is no compulsory on this point. Everyone went to do some look adjustment in order to wow the crowd of relative. However, dying hair is not very accepted by any parents thinking as it would probably give a bad impression.

Everyone love gambling during this time. Only on this festival occasion, The full of dust poker cards and discolored mahjong were taken out from store shelves. Most of them were not addicted to poker or mahjong gambling. After the festival, the mahjong and poker will see no light again until next CNY.

Cigarette reflects inflation and human behavior


One thing for certain that do not drop in price that is cigarettes. Imagine RM12.00 or 13.50 for a box of cigarette, some of the smokers still afford it. As long as the brand prevail, the price will keep increasing due to substantial demand.

It is legal when there is an illustration consequences of heavy smokers. There are tons of legal cigarette brands in Malaysia that you will get no tired finding one. The prices of cigarettes are fixed you will get the same price at any stores. One should never attempt buying it if you are not exceed 18 years old.

It was the movie " The fault in our stars" the actress against smoking cigarettes so much she said "why make them profitable referring the company manufactured cigarettes caused more people getting cancer.

Whose fault is that ?? the manufacturing company or ourselves to blame purchasing them and lit it up. The decision is always in our hand we will never smoke if we never buy it in the first place.

Higher tax means more contribution on healthcare industries by the fund allocation from the authorities.

Blue means cold flavor. When one inhaled the substance and it will shiver the lung. I do not know whether "shiver" is the correct feeling.

Seriously someone should teach me how to correctly pronoun "Stuyvesant".

Salem is always in my context as a scary word or scary town or something.


7. SAMPOERNA


My friend said, "this is one of the popular cigarette in west Malaysia". I never really like this. It so different with other cigarettes. Smaller in size and there is a sweet sugary taste on each inhalation. When one's tongue sweeps both dry lips the sweet substance always there. It was coming out from the filter. 

Sampoerna is made from Pt Hm Sampoerna Surabaya, Indonesia. Imported by Philip Morris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Oakland Industrial Park 70200 Seremban.


8. JLV



A new cigarette brand with a good marketing scheme. Whenever you buy a JLV please keep the empty cigarette for the reduction of RM2.50 for a new JLV cigarette. But, only at selected outlets. You will get a nice price at RM11.00 instead of RM13.50. It like first time buying a cooking gas cylinder is expensive than next time it will be cheaper. 



9. L&M



I do not really smoke but this one is one really good packaging. Even the western peoples know this brand. (AMARAN) means warning. The rest of the sentences is "smoking leads pre-mature born".

He is a doctor but realizing later his hidden talent is become a comedian. His admiration local comedian is Harith Iskandar and Douglas Lim. He made a comedy advertisement related to sore throat medicine product. Besides, he also did stand-up comedian. His joke mostly in English language.

Godfather of stand-up comedian in Malaysia. One of the earliest Malaysian venturing in stand-up comedian business. He discovered his talent when one of his friend decided to invite him for a speech on stage at a party. After that show, there were people started sending invitation to him for a comedy talk in corporate parties. He joke in English language.

Senario received prestigious award in an award show Anugerah Lawak Warna. However, he seem to be inactive after his group were seem to be disbanded due to the show "Senario" has been redundant.
